For ultimate Alfa Romeo fans only, Alfa has released a set of race-inspired paint jobs for the Giulia GTA to celebrate the brandโs 110th anniversary.
Like wearing shoes without socks, buying a Giulia GTA with one of these race-inspired paint jobs will certainly make a statement. Only 500 cars will be available and itโs unlikely weโll see a single one of them in Australia.
So, what are we looking at here? Okay, Alfaโs crayon twirlers had a nosey through the brands museum and took inspiration from โ some of the GTAโs most prestigious victories, including the yellow nose that distinguished the 1971 European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) winning car, the asymmetrical nose from the 1965-1968 Sprint GTA and the symmetrical nose of the GTA 1300 Juniorโ. The ochre recalls the 1750 GTAm in which Toine Hezemans won the ETCC in 1970, while the Biscione on the bonnet and lines on its sides are a nod to the GTA 1300 Junior.
But what was the go with the painted nose? Simple. The idea arose from the need to distinguish the drivers in the same race from each other.
Beyond the painted noses, buyers will be able to choose from GTA Red, Trophy White and Montreal Green, colours that pay tribute to the Italian flag. Customers can also choose from a selection of colours for the brake calipers, roll bar, seat belts and stitching.
