Meet the Aviar R67. Based on a Tesla Model S, the Russian company has built the carbon-fibre bodied prototype you see here, creating โ€œthe first electric muscle carโ€. Or so it says, we think Fordโ€™s lawyers might have another name for it.

Anyway, the R67 runs two motors which is good for more than 800hp and will gallop the thing to 100km/h in just 2.2 seconds with a claimed range of around 500km. All of the running gear is straight off a Tesla Model S.

But, because of the body changes some jiggery pokery has taken place, meaning the firewall has eaten into cabin space making the R67 a two-seater only. The good things is that youโ€™ll be able to make use of the Tesla Supercharger network, if the R67 ever makes it to market, but donโ€™t expect it to be cheap as youโ€™ll need to pay for the donor Model S and the bespoke body crafted from carbon-fibre wonโ€™t be cheap at all.

There are some details missing, like when the R67 will make it to production and how much it will cost. To be honest, itโ€™ll have to side-step Fordโ€™s lawyers before we worry about any of that stuff. Still, it looks super cool and it might just give Ford an idea to take a Mustang Mach-E and throw it under a classic Mustang body.
