Back to the 1960s with the Vespa GTS Super and Sprint “Racing Sixties”

Vespa Sprint Racing Sixties harks back to the 1960s

Vespa is looking back to the 1960s with two new special edition models, the Vespa GTS Super and Vespa Sprint “Racing Sixties”.

Available now, the special-edition Vespas are available in two colour schemes, Green and Gold and Red and White. More than just a lick of paint, the two Vespas get a new-design seat, golden wheels rims and matte black details.

According to Vespa, these new models are intended to conjure up images of the Swinging, er, Racing Sixties. The new seat features contrast stitching for that handmade feel. The matte black detailing extends to the passenger grab handle and footrests, the front and rear light setting, the silencer cover, the rear-view mirrors, the onboard instrument cluster base and shield trim, as well as the crest on the front mudguard of the Vespa GTS Super “Racing Sixties”.

In terms of engines, the Sprint runs a 150cc engine while the big daddy GTS Super boasts a 300cc jobbie. Both models are available now with prices starting at $7690 plus on-road costs for the Sprint and $11,190 plus on-road costs for the GTS Super.

And if you’re one who likes to dress like their ride…well, you’re in luck. Vespa is offering a host of accessories to match in with the scooters. There are colour-matched helmets which offer an adjustable ventilation system and feature an external fibreglass shell with anti UV ray paint and a scratch-proof visor.
