Ford Bronco family teased…reveal 13 July

2021 Ford Bronco to be revealed on 13 July 8pm

Ford has engaged Disneyโ€™s content team to craft three short stories to herald the relaunch on the 2021 Ford Bronco on 13 July.

The all-new Ford Bronco has been drip fed for ages now and was already expected to have been revealed (thanks COVID) but Ford has announced it will finally show off its new off-roader on 13 July. And itโ€™s asked Disney to help out.

Originally planned for a 9 July reveal that was moved after a community backlash over the fact it was the same day as OJ Simpsonโ€™s birthday. And we all remember how OJ contributed to the tale of the Bronco. Bit of a palm to forehead moment at Ford, no doubt.

Earlier this week Ford took to social media to tease the family lineup for the new Bronco, see the main picture for this story. This will see the Bronco include two โ€˜hardcoreโ€™ off-road vehicles, a two- and four-door model as well as a โ€˜softerโ€™ Bronco Sport model. All vehicles will be offered with four-wheel drive.

Ford has announced it will launch four off-road driving schools, called, wait for it, Bronco Off-Roadeos. Donโ€™t you just love America. A website has been set up for Bronco fans and you can visit it via these blue words. But if youโ€™re not in the US or not running a VPN then Aussies arenโ€™t allowed in. In fact, no-one except Americans are allowed in. Hmmm. Annoying.

So, back to the reveal. Ford has worked with Disneyโ€™s content team to craft three 3min videos, โ€œmarking the first-ever, prime-time product reveal roadblock across Disneyโ€™s broadcast, cable, digital and streaming properties, including ABC, ESPN, National Geographic and Hulu,โ€ Ford said.

โ€œFord Bronco is an icon that has captured peopleโ€™s imaginations and inspired them to explore the most remote corners of America and the world since the 1960s,โ€ said Jim Farley, Fordโ€™s chief operating officer. โ€œAs a new era for Bronco begins, weโ€™re proud to tap the strengths of epic adventurers like Jimmy Chin and Disney storytellers to help bring Bronco to life and inspire millions of people to get out into the wild.โ€

For most of us, weโ€™ll get to see the Bronco via Fordโ€™s YouTube channel where it says extra content will be available. So, while itโ€™s unlikely weโ€™ll see the Bronco in Australia, weโ€™re pretty sure motoring enthusiasts will be tuning in. Put a reminder in your phone for 10am Tuesday July 14.
