Test drive an all-new Ford Puma from your desk later this month (September) – go for a โdesk driveโ if you will.
The all-new Ford Puma will go on-sale in Australia later this month and Ford is rolling out virtual test drives for potential buyers. Ford said it wants to make โshopping for a new vehicle simpler, easier and more transparentโ.
In addition to the desk drives, Fordโs also offering introductory drive-away pricing and even โincentivesโ for in-person test drives.
So, whatโs the desk drive? Basically, a Ford dealership will host a Facebook Live event via the Ford Australia Facebook page. So, think of it as a glorified new car walkaround video, the kind you might see on the MotoFomo Facebook page. The first of these Facebook Live events will be towards the end of Septemberโฆ all the details will be on the Ford Australia Facebook page.
Oh, and what about those incentives? Okay, if you go and physically test drive a new Ford Puma from late September through to October and go on to buy one, then youโll be given a $500 bonus (price reduction) which increases to $1000 if youโre an existing Ford owner.
Introductory all-new Ford Puma pricing for Australia will be:
- Puma FWD $31,990 drive-away;
- Puma ST-Line $33,990 drive-away; and
- ST-Line V $36,990 drive-away.
The Ford Puma is here to rival the Mazda CX-3 and is only available with one engine, regardless of the variant. This is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine making 92kW and 170Nm of torque from 1500rpm. The only transmission available is a seven-speed dual-clutch jobbie.
