The new Hyundai i30 N Line Sedan will arrive in Australia at the end of the year, with a new Sonata N Line following close behind it.
The new-look i30 Sedan was launched earlier this year and now the N Line variant has been revealed. It will arrive in Australia towards the end of this year. For those who don’t know, the N Line range is considered an entry-point into the performance-oriented N Brand.
What is it? It runs a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine making 150kW and 265Nm of torque and will be offered with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed double clutch transmission. And there have been tweaks to the standard car’s suspension to improve stiffness and larger front brake rotors have been fitted.
“The new i30 Sedan N Line model will appeal to customers who favour a sporty look and spirited driving performance,” said Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President, Head of Product Division at Hyundai Motor Group. “The expanded range will help solidify i30’s position as a leader in the small car passenger segment.”
On the outside, there are skirts right the way around as well as an integrated boot lid spoiler, 18-inch alloys, and the i30’s cascade grille has been made “more aggressive” via an N Line badge and geometric pattern for the grille. On the inside, there’s a leather-wrapped N steering wheel with metallic spokes, N sport seats with leather bolsters, gearshift with metal accents and leather inserts, and alloy pedals. The i30 N Line will also boast wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
As mentioned, Hyundai said it will follow the launch of the i30 N Line in Australia with the release of a Sonata N Line which will run a turbocharged 2.5-litre petrol engine to “further expand the N Line line-up”.
