Hyundai has released the first set of design sketches for the new i30 Sedan N-Line which will replace the long-serving Elantra.
Ignore the name on the car in these sketches. Locally, the i30 Sedan N-Line will replace the Elantra. And we reckon it looks pretty good with its โlow and wide stylingโ as well as Hyundaiโs signature cascading grille, N-Line badging and โmotorsport-inspired air intakeโ.
The i30 Sedan N-Line will (be seen as an entry into the N brand) arrive standard with 18-inch alloys and bigger brakes than the Elantra it replaces. And, in N-Line tradition, all of the side mirrors, window accents and side skirts are all finished in gloss black.
Speaking about the vehicle, Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President, Head of Product Division at Hyundai Motor Group said,โi30 Sedan N-Line offers a more aggressive design that incorporates N-Lineโs signature red accents inside and out at an attractive price.
โThis will definitely satisfy those who are looking to join the Hyundai N community.โ
If youโre still a bit confused by the name on the car, donโt be. Locally itโll be the i30 Sedan N-Line, while in other markets itโll be the Elantra N-Line. Hyundai hasnโt said what engine itโll run, but we expect it to carry on with the i30 Hatch N-Lineโs 150kW/265Nm turbocharged petrol engine. Stay tuned for more on the i30 Sedan N-Line as we approach its expected launch here towards the end of the year.
