Ironman 4×4 has revealed its suspension upgrade kit to suit the new 2021 Isuzu D-Max, has said there are more accessories coming.
With the Isuzu D-Max being revealed, in Australian trim, today, 4×4 accessory makers havenโt wasted any time in revealing their own accessories for the popular dual-cab. Weโve covered the D-Max extensively on MotoFomo already and you can click on these blue words to read more. Weโll also have a full first drive review before the end of this month.
Thanks to the launch of the new D-Max in Thailand earlier this year, plenty of 4×4 accessories makers have already had their hands on the new D-Max and been able to design products to suit. Ironman 4×4 is one such company and it told MotoFomo that itโll have a range of accessories available soon for the new D-Max.
Today, however, itโs announced that its full range of suspension upgrades have been tweaked to suit the new D-Max. The kit includes front coil springs, rear leaf springs, front strut shock absorbers, rear shock absorbers, bushes, brake hose relocation kit and u-bolts. Cost optional extras include Ironman 4×4โs Pro Forge Upper Control Arm, greasable shackles, and strut mounts.
With the suspension upgrades, there are three different shock absorbers available, these are the Foam Cell Pro which is a 45mm piston with a 65-72mm body, 20mm piston rod, 3mm wall thickness and twin-tube construction. The Foam Cell Shock Absorber is also a twin-tube construction but itโs a smaller shock, with a 40mm piston, 60mm body, and 18mm piston rod. The Nitro Gas Shock features a 35mm piston, 54mm body, 16mm piston rod and twin-tube construction.
Ironman 4×4โs shock absorber range can be tweaked to offer unique compression and rebound performance depending on the ride sought. It offers three comfort levels, from Comfort which is best for those vehicles with little or no accessories fitted, Performance is aimed at those whoโve got a bullbar and some other bits and bobs and are looking for a good compromise between on- and off-road performance. The Professional setting is aimed at those whoโve loaded up their D-Max with accessories like a rooftop tent which raises the centre of gravity. According to Ironman 4×4, the Professional tune ensures stability and body control.
