For the fifth-year running, Indian, Jack Daniels and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles have collaborated to produce the limited-run Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse.
Only 107 Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse bikes will be built with each bike built to order as a 2021 model with delivery starting in September. This is the fifth-time that Indian Motorcycle, Jack Daniels and Klock Werk Kustom Cycles have collaborated.
The Dark Horse was “carefully designed to embody Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack” whiskey. Okay. The bike carries nods to the whiskey via its custom two-tone Whiskey Pearl paint scheme with Oakwood ceramic finishes on the engine. In addition, there are Gentleman Jack engraved floorboards, Jack Daniel’s branding on the seat, tank and lowers, and a numbered Montana Silversmith badge signifying the limited nature of this model.
More than just the design tweaks, the Dark Horse debuts Indian Motorcycle’s new heated and cooled seat system, called ClimaCommand and this can be controlled via the Ride Command infotainment system which offers Apple and Android connectivity, navigation and more.
The Dark Horse comes standard with a 600-watt PowerBand audio system, heated hand grips, an adjustable flared Klock Werks windscreen, and remote-locking saddlebags and boot. The engine is a Thunderstroke 116, air-cooled V-twin engine delivering 168Nm of torque, this is mated to a six-speed transmission.
Each Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse will come with a custom Montana Silversmith Belt Buckle in a display case. Each belt buckle will be engraved with the motorcycle number (#001-#107) and VIN.
“We are honored to continue our relationship with Jack Daniel’s and Klock Werks and are excited to again celebrate American craftsmanship and ingenuity through this collaboration of three iconic American brands,” said Reid Wilson, Vice President for Indian Motorcycle. “The Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse is our most premium touring motorcycle and, much like Gentleman Jack, represents the ultimate commitment to quality and craftsmanship, while offering the widest range of premium features and riding technology.”
