Land Rover pushes warranty to five years, unlimited kays

New Land Rover Defender P400 Review 2020

Land Rover has announced it is extending its new vehicle warranty to five-years, unlimited kilometres.

Land Rover has announced that all vehicles sold from today (April 1) will carry a five-year, unlimited kilometres warranty. Land Rover had previously tried โ€œtactical warranty offersโ€ via โ€œselected marketing campaignsโ€, but said this warranty offer was โ€œhere to stayโ€.

This new warranty replaces the brandโ€™s previous three-year, 100,000km warranty offer. In addition to the new five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, all Land Rover vehicles will also be covered by a six-year warranty on panels for corrosion.

Land Rover Australia Managing Director Mark Cameron said, while tactical warranty offers had been made throughout 2020 for selected marketing campaigns, this latest change is here to stay.

โ€œThis warranty revision is an important change, one we see as a key progression for the Land Rover brand in Australia and one that is permanent.

โ€œWe have worked extremely hard at developing the extended warranty for the Australian market and I believe the increased length of the warranty period, plus unlimited kilometres, will deliver an even more enjoyable ownership experience for Land Rover buyers,โ€ Mr Cameron said.
