The limited-edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon (aka Shorty) is available to order now in Australia, the first special-edition Wrangler since 2015.
Only 100 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recons will be available in Australia (60 four-door variants and 40 two-door variants) with prices starting at $66,950+ORC with deliveries expected to begin at the end of the year.
What does the Rubicon Recon add? A matte black bonnet and fender vent decals, black grille, and painted black 17-inch wheels. Thereโs also a steel front bumper with Bumper Hoop, and a tailgate reinforcement system. The optional โRecon Premium Packageโ adds a body colour three-piece freedom hardtop roof, and body colour fender flares.
On the inside, the changes include red seat belts, as well as a wrapped instrument mid-panel and red contrast stitching. The cabin allows for ultimate comfort featuring standard black leather seats, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Trail-Rail Management System is also included as standard.
โA 2-Door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon continues to be a much-desired proposition amongst the Australian off-roading community, and weโre so excited to make this dream a reality with the Recon special edition,โ said Guillaume Drelon, Jeep Australia Director, Brand & Product Strategy. โIt offers the everyday practicality many seek, whilst remaining adventure ready.โ
โThe Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is rugged, off-road ready and the most capable 4×4 straight off the showroom floor. It is truly up to any challenge passionate 4×4 enthusiasts throw at it.โ
Beyond these tweaks, the rest of the Rubicon Recon is as per the regular Rubicon variant which is already the most capable โout of the boxโ 4×4 on the market.
