Only 250 of these Triumph 1200 Scrambler Bond Editions will be available around the world to celebrate Triumph motorcycles joining forces with the Bond franchise.
Seems Triumph couldn’t wait for the next James Bond movie to be shown, releasing its limited edition Triumph 1200 Scrambler Bond Edition overnight. Celebrating the collaboration between Triumph and the Bond franchise, the limited run bike was based off the heavily customised Triumph Scramblers used in the next Bond movie, No Time To Die which will be out later this year.
According to Triumph Australia, only a couple bikes will make it Down Under from July (the actual number hasn’t been released) and that pricing will be released towards the end of June.
Based on the top-spec Scrambler 1200 XE, the Bond Edition gets a heap of hand-finished and unique features, like Sapphire Black paint scheme, with an oversized Triumph tank badge and brushed decal foil knee pad with hand-painted gold coachline. Additional 007 branding includes an exhaust number board and lower side panel finisher with pressed 007 branding, premium real leather seat with embroidered logo and a unique 007 TFT instrument startup screen.
The new Bond Edition features a 5-volt USB power socket for charging personal equipment. This is built into a new foam-lined storage box under the seat.
Beyond the cosmetics, the Bond Edition also gets a bespoke front mudguard with unique black anodized finish, fog lights with unique black anodized shrouds, a premium Arrow silencer with carbon fiber end caps, machined front brake reservoir, black rear wheel adjusters and a stainless steel headlight grille.
The Bond Edition features premium fully-adjustable twin-spring Öhlins rear suspension units with piggyback reservoirs that deliver wheel travel of up to 250 mm “for amazing off-road capability and ground clearance”.
Topping off the high-specification engineering innovation there are premium Brembo M50 radial monobloc calipers, adjustable folding foot controls, and first-in-class tubeless tires and spoked 21-inch front wheel.
To ensure you stay the right side up, the Bond Edition offers Road, Rain, Off-Road, Sport and Rider-configurable riding modes which tweak the throttle, ABS and traction control settings to suit riding conditions. On top of these five modes, the Scrambler 1200 (and so to this Bond Edition) also features the ‘Off-Road Pro’ mode, which allows riders to turn off both ABS and traction control, and uses the ‘Off-Road’ throttle map.
