Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel lobs Down Under in August

Moto Guzzi has listened to the requests of Guzzisti, creating a V85 TT version that is prepared as standard with a selection of essential adventure touring accessories.

The new Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel grand tourer will arrive in Australia in August, priced from $21,690+ORCs.

When the new Moto Guzzi arrives here in August itโ€™ll be priced from $21,690 plus on-road costs and have things like panniers, high windshield (60% more surface area) and heated hand grips as standard features. The panniers offer 37 litres of storage for the right-hand case (big enough to store a helmet) and 27.5 litres for the case on the left.

The V85 TT Travel is only available in Sabbia Namib paintwork, with some contrasting graphics on the side panels and tank. Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres are standard fit.

With an 830mm seat height, most riders should be able to get comfortable on the V85 TT Travel. The fuel tank offers 23 litres for a claimed range of 400km. Engine capacity is 853cc, maximum power is 59kW and torque is 80Nm at 5000rpm although 90% of the torque is available at 3750rpm, in keeping with the tradition of the Mandello twin. This is the first Moto Guzzi small block engine that can reach 8000rpm.

There are three different riding modes on the V85 TT Travel: Road, Rain and Off-road. Each of these modes tweaks engine mapping and the MGCT traction control (which can be disabled) and ABS, as well as a different response from the Ride-by-Wire throttle control.

As is the way with a lot of bikes now, youโ€™ll be able to connect a smartphone to the V85 TT Travel via the Moto Guzzi MIA, the brandโ€™s multimedia platform.

Based on the V85 TT, the V85 TT Travel is the result, according to Moto Guzzi of listening to its buyers, โ€œMoto Guzzi has listened to the requests of Guzzisti, creating a V85 TT version that is prepared as standard with a selection of essential adventure touring accessories,โ€ the brand said.
