The Mazda BT-50 Thunder sits at the top of the range, boasting pumped guards, a steel single-hoop bullbar and more.
The Mazda BT-50 Thunder is exclusive to Australia and climbs to the top of the range. Going on-sale in April, BT-50 Thunder boasts an introductory National Driveaway Price of $65,990 for the Dual Cab 4×4 manual and $68,990 for the Dual Cab 4×4 automatic. Once the introductory period finishes, pricing will revert to $65,990 (plus on-road costs) for manual BT-50 Thunder, or $68,990+ORC in automatic form.
The engine has been left alone, as has the suspension. The key changes include the Thunder stickers, single hoop steel bull bar and a Lightforce dual-row LED lightbar. It gets 18-inch black alloy wheels, pumped guards and side steps. Thereโs also a sports bar in black, and an electric tonneau cover.
โWe have been extremely pleased with how the Brand-New Mazda BT-50 has been received by our dealer partners, customers and media since its mid-2020 launch,โ said Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi.
โThe range-topping, uniquely-Australian BT-50 Thunder makes a strong statement with a bold and assertive aesthetic, while retaining the high level of specification and safety attributes expected of a Brand-New BT-50 model,โ he said.
