Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition coming to Australia

Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Edition coming to Australia

Limited to just 992 units, the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Edition will arrive in Australia later this year from $395,300.

The just-released Targa 4S has been treated to the heritage treatment harking back to the 1950s, says Porsche. This is the first of four heritage designs the German car maker will release.

Available in four exclusive colours, including Cherry Metallic the heritage treatment extends to gold logos and the spear-shaped graphics. The heritage badge on the grill at the back is a nod to the badge that was given to the Porsch 356 when it reached the 100,000km mark in testing. And the crest on the bonnet and steering wheel is the crest Porsche used in 1963.

And while the interior is swathed in leather, thereโ€™s a liberal splash of corduroy – the material of choice for the 356.And if you like your wrist to match your car (huh?) you can buy the matching 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition chronograph. Like the car, thereโ€™ll only be 992 of these watches made.

Porsche said the designers took their inspiration from the 356 and the 911 Targa, โ€œthe design of the face with its white seconds hand and โ€˜Phosphorus Greenโ€™ rings is inspired by the cars’ speedometer and rev counter while the hours on the watch face are inscribed in a font that is deeply characteristic of Porsche. The new watch’s strap is made of genuine Porsche interior leather and the way that 911 is embossed in it is a further tribute to the iconic sports carโ€. If you need to ask the price, you canโ€™t afford it.
