The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X and Raptor have been refreshed catching up to the rest of the Ford Ranger lineup.

The updated Ford Ranger arrived earlier this year boasting things like Bi-LED headlights and a powered roller cover for the Wildtrak, as well as a rear vision mirror mounted USB outlet. Now, the Ranger Wildtrak X and Raptor have caught up, completing the updated lineup.

“Ranger continues to adapt, grow and expand its offering, bringing more targeted, specific capabilities and attributes to Australian customers to help them meet any challenges they face,” said Ford Australia President and CEO, Andrew Birkic. “Now, with Ranger Wildtrak X, alongside upgraded Wildtrak and Ford Performance Ranger Raptor, customers can get even more out of their off-road adventures.”

This means the updated Ranger Wildtrak X now gets Bi-LED headlights, which boast a claimed 17% improvement in light penetration and 20% improvement when high-beam is being used. Wildtrak X also now features the same powered roller shutter as Wildtrak which can be activated three ways: via the key fob, a dash-mounted switch, or from a button within the tub. The new powered roller gives an extra 20mm of clearance in the tub compared to the manual shutter.

The Ranger Raptor hasnโ€™t been forgotten and it too gets the upgraded headlights but not the powered roller shutter. It does, however, get a new spray-in bed liner which is a two-part coating applied in the factory; Ford claims its tougher than a drop-in liner, is textured to minimise load slip, and prevents moisture buildup between the tub and the liner.
