The updated Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has arrived Down Under priced from $139,950+ORCs.
The updated Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk costs $5k more than the old model but it boasts $13k of added value, according to Jeep. But thatโs not what most buyers will be interested in…rather theyโll only care that it can still get to 100km/h in a supercar-esque 3.7 seconds.
Under the bonnet is a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 making 522kW and 868Nm of torque. This nut-job engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
โAustralia is FCAโs second largest market for V8โs outside of North America and it is important for us to be able to support Australians with one of the most powerful and fastest SUVs ever,โ said Guillaume Drelon, Jeep Australia Director, Product.
So, whatโs the new stuff? The Signature Laguna Leather Wrapped Interior Package is now standard and there are 20-inch black lightweight forged alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 3 Season tyres. And there have been some tweaks on the inside, like the carbon-fibre accents, and Black Chrome finishes with the 8.4-inch touchscreen now sitting flush in the dashboard.
It carries over the launch control and Selec-Trac system that allows the driver to configure key dynamic modes, including Auto, Sport, Track, Snow and Tow. These drive modes fiddle with the four-wheel-drive system, transmission, paddle shifters, suspension and electric power steering.
And Jeep has extended its capped price servicing to the updated Trackhawk, which is $799 per service for the first five services.
