Meet the Volcon Grunt an e-bike that you can ride under water…if you want.
Volcon is en electric vehicle startup that’s planning to build two types of four-wheeled electric ATV, Stag and Beast but it’s launching with its Grunt e-bike. Read our Super 73 review.
Priced from USD$5995, the Grunt is priced to compete but its specs are impressive if you’re looking for a rough terrain e-bike. It’s got swappable batteries and a 50hp electric motor, and will get to 96km/h in 6.0 seconds with a range of up to 160 kilometres, depending on how hard you’re riding it.
The Grunt has big fat tyres to make riding across sand a lot easier a seat mounted at 32-inches making it easier to get on and off. There are three riding modes: Eco; Normal and Sport and the battery recharge time is just two hours from a conventional household socket. But the thing that impressed us is the fact all the electrics are rated at IP67 with Volcon saying, “The Grunt can actually be ridden underwater”.
There’s no word yet on whether the Grunt will be available in Australia, but if you want to know more, click these blue words.
