Weโre big fans of Lego here at Planet MotoFomo and weโre loving the Lego Technic Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51.
Meet the latest addition to the Lego Technic family, the Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51. The non-Lego version of this thing is one of the most successful endurance racers in Ferrariโs history.
Just like other Technic kits you get an engine with working pistons, suspension, styling to match the rear 488 GTE and a steering wheel with the prancing horse on it. It carries the #51 racing number and sponsor stickers, and the same Tricolore paintjob as the real thing.
The model measures 48cm long and consists of 1677 pieces but wonโt be available until January 2021.
โHaving the chance to recreate a Ferrari in LEGO Technic form is an absolute childhood dream come trueโ said Lars Krogh Jensen, Designer, LEGO Technic.
โFerrari is renowned for their truly incredible vehicles so I knew I had to push the boundaries of the Lego Technic system to do justice to the dominating racetrack idol.
“This model captures the sophisticated silhouettes of the iconic car while paying homage to its engineering powers to capture the true essence of the 488 GTE. The build is a great challenge for any fan who appreciates excellent design and is interested in learning more about the engineering and technology that goes into crafting such an impressive car.โ
When it goes on-sale in January, the Lego Technic Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51 will sell for $299.99.
